August 16: Preparation Day in Fellowship Hall
August 17: Pack the Backpacks and begin deliveries to schools.
August 18: Complete all deliveries to schools (CBG recipients pick up their backpacks at church)

Crown Financial Small Group Bible Studies meet for 10 weeks to help you learn how to apply God’s word to your money and possessions.  God’s word has something to say about my finances?  Absolutely!  In fact, there are over 2,350 verses in the Bible about money.  Crown Small Groups are confidential and you will never be asked to share your personal financial information.  If you want to learn more about Crown Small Groups and decide if they are right for you, then come to one of the Orientations where you will learn how the Small Groups work and when they will be offered.  Attending an Orientation is required in order to join a Crown Small Group.  At the end of the Orientation, the days/times of the Small Groups will be announced, and you will have the option to join a Crown Small Group or not.  Think of it as a free preview, so come check it out!

If you choose to join a Crown Small Group, then the cost of the materials is $45 for a individual and $55 for a couple.  If you can’t afford the cost upfront, then we will work to establish a payment plan with you that you can afford.

Childcare will be available at the orientation.

One of the requirements for membership @ CBG is attending a Newcomers’ Class. You’ll meet our staff and hear what Church by the Glades is all about.   The staff will discuss what an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ looks like, the importance of baptism, and what we believe about God, the Bible, the church and our mission as a body of believers.  Childcare available for infants – 5th grade in the KidStuf Building.

In anticipation of a big crowd returning from Easter weekend, and to help create space at our prime time services (Sunday, 9:45 & 11:15am), CBG is adding their 7th weekend service on Sunday night @ 6:00pm starting THIS weekend (Sunday, April 19, 2009).

If you are interested in having your Saturday night free and sleeping in on Sunday morning, this may be the service for you!

Help us reach South Florida for Christ by choosing a service other than the 9:45 & 11:15am services.  Other options:

• Saturday @ 5:00 & 6:30pm
• Sunday @ 8:30am, 12:45 & 6:00pm

Dedicating your child to Christ can be a memorable time for you and your family. As you consider taking this step, we encourage you to remember that baby dedication is a commitment by you to raise your child in a Christian home. Essentially, you are committing to show your child the love of God by having your own personal, growing relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ. It is a recognition that your child is an incredible gift from God, cherished by God, and that you are looking forward to the day when your child will accept and make a personal commitment to Christ as Lord.

“Theme out” a table with your favorite flavour whether it’s a color, movie, vacation spot, Broadway musical, activity or sport…you get the idea.  There will be 50 tables available for women to decorate.  We’ll provide the table, floor length white tablecloth and 8 chairs…you provide the table service for 8 and all of the creative elements for a girls’ night out!  Table decorating will take place on Thursday, May 7th  from 12 – 10pm.
