Pastor David Hughes is the Lead Pastor of Church by the Glades, a multicultural fellowship in a part of Florida that is 93% unchurched. He has been part of a church resurrection at CBG, seeing a declining congregation of less than 500 soar to over 5,000 average worship attendance during his decade of leadership. Innovative, creative, very contemporary worship with a passion for intentional evangelism, Church by the Glades is an annual leader in baptisms among Florida Baptist Churches. A graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Theological Seminary, Pastor David is a homegrown South Florida product, sensitive to the diversity and unique opportunities of the area. David and his wife, Lisa, have 3 children: Charlie, Victoria, and Zane.
